How to Make Your Taskbar Bigger and Smaller on Windows 11
To customize your taskbar, you have a few options. You can change the accent color, make the taskbar icons bigger, or move them to the left. You can even hide the taskbar when using desktop mode. If you don’t want to see the taskbar, you can change the color of its icons. To do this, go to Control Panel > Display Options. Then, click the Customize taskbar option.
Change the accent color
When you first install Windows 11, you may notice that you can’t change the accent color of your taskbar. The taskbar and Start menu are not the same color, so you need to make a few configuration changes to change them. To change the accent color of your taskbar, you must navigate to the Personalisation section of the Control Panel and click on Accent colour. Once there, click on the color you want, and then select Manual.
On the left-hand list, click Personalization. In the right-hand pane, click Colors. Then click on Dark. This will bring up the color palette. In the right-hand pane, click the View colors button. From here, you can choose the color for your taskbar and Start. If you don’t see this option, make sure to use the Dark mode. Otherwise, choose the light mode.
You can also try applying a theme. Some themes allow you to select the accent color of your taskbar. This option is not available on Windows 10’s default theme, which is transparent. That way, the color that is displayed on the Taskbar isn’t an exact blue, but a slightly different shade. If you’ve used a third-party theme, please let us know about your experiences in the comments below.
The color of your taskbar will depend on your aesthetic preference. There are two colors you can choose from. Those that are opaque lack gradients. Transparent taskbars allow the wallpaper to be seen fully. Glass taskbars are similar to transparent ones, except that the tint is slightly blurred. The effect is similar to that of frosted glass. You can also choose a gradient. You can change the accent color in the Windows 11 Control Panel.
To activate Windows 11, you need to insert a valid product key. This way, you can customize your taskbar and windows. You can also change the animation of the window and the accent color of the taskbar. Using the accent color option is not possible if you’re still in Light Mode. Therefore, make sure you have activated Windows before trying to change the accent color of your taskbar.
Change the size of the taskbar icons
If you’re not happy with the default Taskbar size, there are a few ways to change it. You can edit the registry to change the size of the taskbar icons. The first way to do so is to right-click the Value Data and change it to 1. Then restart your PC to apply the changes. Another way to change the size of the icons on the taskbar is by using the Settings app.
The next step involves changing the size of the Taskbar. If you wish to make the taskbar icons smaller, choose 0 in step 5. If you want to change the size of the icons, select 2 in step 6. The screenshot below shows the size of the different sizes. If you want to increase the size of the icons on the taskbar, choose two. If you don’t know which size you’d like, try increasing the size of the Taskbar by one.
If you want to change the size of the taskbar icons on Windows 11, you can modify the TaskbarSi value. The TaskbarSi value can be modified to a small, medium, or large size. You can also change the taskbar size by modifying the TaskbarSi value. You can also change the size of the icons by changing their data value. If you’re not sure how to edit the registry, try backing up your computer before proceeding with the procedure.
If you’re not happy with the default icon size of your taskbar, you can adjust it by changing the Registry value. In Windows, this value is called ‘iconSpacing’. This value can be changed by double-clicking the ‘IconSpacing’ registry. In the Value data field, type in the value you want to change, such as -480 to -2730.
Changing the display size of your icons is also easy. You can change their size by changing the settings of the display scaling. The default value is 100%. If you want to change the size of your icons, increase it to 125%, 150%, or 175%. Then, restart Windows and File Explorer to see the change. This will also change the icons’ bounding areas. If you don’t change the size of the icons, they’ll be too small to read.
Move the taskbar icons to the left
The start button and quick launch icons in Windows 11 have been moved to the center of the taskbar. As a result, you can no longer easily move these two areas to the left. You’ll need to go into the settings menu of your computer and select Personalization > Taskbar. Then click the Left option under Taskbar alignment. After selecting this option, all icons will be slid to the left.
To move the taskbar to the left on Windows 11, go to the Settings > System and Security>Advanced>Security>Protections>Taskbar>Alignment>Original Position>SelectionColor>Raw. Then, right-click on the Start menu and select Properties > Alignment Options. You should notice that the Start menu is now aligned slightly to the left of the button.
Moving the taskbar to the left in Windows 11 requires you to make several changes to the Start button. You can move it to the left, toggle off overflow in the taskbar corners, and remove the Widgets button from the taskbar. Once the taskbar is in the correct position, you can close the taskbar and restore the taskbar icons to their proper positions. However, you should take note that some corner icons will remain permanently.
To move the taskbar icons to the left on Windows 11, you can right-click an app icon and select the “Pin to taskbar” option. In Windows 11, the auto-hide feature is still available. If you enable this option, the taskbar will not show up unless the mouse is hovered over it. To enable the option, go to the Start menu, Settings, Personalization, and Colors, and select ‘Automatically hide taskbar’. This will make the taskbar appear only when the mouse is hovered over it.
The Start menu icon no longer features large, square Live Tiles. Instead, you’ll see a modest collection of app icons. These include the File Explorer, Settings, and other apps. Some users prefer the more puritanical Start menu. Others want more flexibility in their Start menu. In any case, you can still move the Start icon to the left. You can also move the taskbar icons to the right if you don’t like the way they look.
Hide the taskbar in desktop mode
The first thing you should do when you want to hide the taskbar on Windows 11 is to uninstall any third-party apps that may cause the problem. If you have a secondary monitor, you can also hide the taskbar in that monitor. You can also move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, which will bring the taskbar up. If you’ve installed any third-party apps on your system, you should uninstall them before you apply the feature update.
Once you’ve removed these apps, you can now customize your desktop. You can choose to hide the taskbar in full-screen or tablet mode by selecting the option in the Control Panel. Choosing the option to hide the taskbar will free up extra space on your screen, so you can focus on your work without distractions. You can also pair this mode with Do Not Disturb mode to turn off notifications, so you can play your old games without worrying about the taskbar obscuring the rest of the screen.
Another way to fix this problem is to enable auto-hide, which will allow the taskbar to hide automatically whenever it’s not in use. You can also disable auto-hide by clicking anywhere on the desktop. If the taskbar still does not hide, you can turn off the feature and check manually if the taskbar will show itself again. In this case, you need to ensure that the feature is enabled before proceeding.
Another way to hide the taskbar on Windows 11 is to resize it. By default, the taskbar will be displayed when you’re playing Xbox games. You can also set it to hide when you’re playing a game and other tasks where the taskbar may not be so useful. To hide the taskbar in Windows 11 completely, just open the Settings app and select Automatically hide the taskbar.
Another way to hide the taskbar in desktop mode is by using a keyboard shortcut. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+T, and it will hide the taskbar when you hover over it. Press it again to restore the taskbar. After that, you can use the keyboard shortcut to switch back to full screen mode. Once you’re back in full screen mode, the taskbar should disappear automatically.
